Diddy Accused Of Rape & Physical Abuse By Ex-Girlfriend Cassie In New Lawsuit

R&B singer Cassie, the longtime romantic partner of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has filed a lawsuit against him in Manhattan’s Federal District Court.

The complaint alleges that the rapper, producer and music mogul who founded Bad Boy Records, raped and subjected Cassie to years of aggressive behavior and physical abuse.

Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura included Bad Boy Entertainment, Bad Boy Records, Epic Records, Combs Enterprises, and Combs Enterprises LLC as defendants in her lawsuit, and alleges that whenever she tried to hide, Combs’s network of corporations and affiliated entities would locate her.

Ventura asserts that Combs pressured her to consume illegal drugs and forced her to carry firearms in her purse on his behalf. Additionally, she alleges that when the two were on a break for a period, Combs arranged for the destruction of fellow musician Kid Cudi‘s car, whom Ventura was in a relationship with at the time.

“After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships. With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life.”

The Adult Survivors Act gives survivors of sexual assault a one-year window in which to sue, even when the statute of limitations on their allegations has expired.

Ben Brafman, attorney for Combs, vehemently denied the ”offensive and outrageous allegations” made by Ventura. Brafman emphasized that over the past six months, Ventura had persistently demanded $30 million from his client, and threatened to write a book about their relationship. Brafman says that although Ventura initially withdrew her threat, she has now resorted to a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies that aim to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation and seeking a payday.”

The lawsuit says that early in the two’s professional relationship, Combs exerted significant control over Ventura’s personal life when he monitored her social activities, coerced her into romantic and sexual encounters with him, and had control over various aspects of her life, which included medical care, living arrangements, transportation, appearance, wardrobe and travel.

As their relationship progressed, Ventura claims that Combs demanded “Freak Off” sessions, where he would watch and record her in sexual activities with male sex workers. The lawsuit further asserts that in 2018, Combs allegedly raped Ventura in her own home after she tried to leave him.

Douglas Wigdor, attorney for Ventura, applauded her courage and determination to speak out against the abuse and seek accountability for her abuser. He said, “We are honored to represent this brave victim in her pursuit of justice.”

Combs’ longtime girlfriend, Kim Porter, died unexpectedly in 2018 at 47.
