Portia De Rossi, who reportedly finished up a stint in rehab for alcoholism recently, allegedly taped her wife Ellen DeGeneres during a drunken fight.

Prior to her reported 30-day stay in a rehab facility, De Rossi, 41, allegedly taped arguments she’d had with DeGeneres, 56. The Arrested Development actress reportedly hoped to show her wife’s less positive attributes in action.

“Portia secretly taped some of their arguments. She was drunk,” a source told InTouch magazine. “Then she threatened to expose Ellen as controlling and manipulating.”

“Portia going to rehab was the first step in saving their marriage,” the source added. “They want their marriage to work more than anything.”

Portia's Alleged Rehab Stint

Earlier this month, an insider told the tabloid about De Rossi’s unconfirmed visit to rehab, claiming that Ellen’s “domineering” personality led De Rossi to seek solace in alcohol and prescription pills.

"Ellen is domineering and Portia is passive. Ellen always calls the shots, and Portia never complains," a source previously told InTouch. "She felt like a prisoner in her own home. She went from sipping white wine occasionally to drinking at least a bottle or more a day and topping it off with a pill. It got to the point where she was out of it four nights a week. They've had vicious shouting matches — with both of them yelling cruel, soul-crushing put-downs that they both deeply regretted."

Despite the ongoing reports questioning the stability of their marriage and De Rossi’s sobriety, DeGeneres and De Rossi have maintained the strength of their relationship. In June, the talk show host and the Ally MacBeal alum were spotted walking through New York City smiling and with their arms wrapped around each other. The two are planning on renewing their wedding vows in Sydney, Australia, later this summer, according to OK! Magazine.

DeGeneres and DeRossi first began dating in 2004 and were married on Aug. 16, 2008.
