Did Jason Aldean Wear Black Face For Halloween Lil Wayne Costume?

Jason Aldean dressed up for Halloween as rapper Lil Wayne – and was pictured in costume in blackface.

Country singer Aldean decided to step into the rap music genre to celebrate Halloween, channeling Lil Wayne. In addition to the hip hop artist’s signature dreads, headband and shades, Aldean decided to go a step further and darken his skin.

Since a picture emerged of Aldean in costume, his publicist Tyne Parrish has confirmed that Aldean had dressed as Lil Wayne for Halloween, but declined to address the matter of blackface.

Aldean has yet to personally comment on the controversy surrounding his decision to go out in blackface. Lil Wayne has not commented either.

Incidentally, both Aldean and Lil Wayne are both “artist-owners” of Jay Z’s music streaming service Tidal.

Two years ago, Dancing with the Stars pro-turned-judge Julianne Hough caused an uproar when she donned blackface to portray Orange is the New Black character Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren (Uzo Aduba) for Halloween. Soon after pictures of her in costume on a way to a Halloween party went viral, Hough offered an apology for causing offense.
