On Saturday, Colton Haynes, caused quite a stir when he responded to a fan’s comment of “When I found out Colton Haynes had a secret gay past, I got so excited even though I know it makes absolutely no difference in my life.” The Arrow star was quick to respond with, “Was it a secret? Let’s all just enjoy life and have no regrets.” The feed can be found on Haynes personal Tumblr. 

Twitter instantly exploded with encouragement for the 27-year-old and speculating whether the actor just outed himself as gay for the world. One fan tweeted, “If Colton Haynes is gay, then I’m really happy for him that he was able to do his coming-out.”

Some fans claimed they already knew of the actor’s sexuality. One user tweeted, “Why is everyone so shocked about “Colton Haynes coming out” he’s been out since he left the womb.”


The Teen Wolf alum has stayed quiet about his sexuality until this recent Tumblr post. His brother, Joshua Haynes, is gay.

Colton has been vocal about his difficulty with anxiety as he was hospitalized last month. He took to Twitter to show encouragement to any of his followers who also suffer from the disorder, tweeting that they are “not alone.”
