Former stars of The Descendants Dove CameronBooboo Stewart and Sofia Carson grabbed a cute group photo while arriving for the 2024 Cam For A Cause Gala held at The Beehive in Los Angeles. They were there to honor their late co-star, Cameron Boyce.

Cam For A Cause: A Fundraiser For The Cameron Boyce Foundation To End Epilepsy — is held every year to raise money and awareness for epilepsy and SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy), which caused the young actor’s death in July 2019.

Cameron embraced a strapless look in a voluminous Prabal Gurung ballgown with gray tulle, bubble hem and black polka dots. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline, a fitted bodice and a black belt at the waist. Carson wore a sleeveless gown with layers of off-white feather embellishments. The dress featured a long train and loose fit with semi-sheer fabric. Stewart opted for this earth-toned matching set of loose trousers, an open jacket with reptilian-inspired boots and a white shirt. The actor accessorized with a necklace.

Other Descendants stars attending the annual Cameron Boyce Foundation event were China Anne McClainSarah Jeffery, Brenna D’Amico and director Kenny Ortega.

For Cameron’s 25th birthday, which would have been May 28 this year, the foundation was looking to raise $10,000 to go toward its mission to honor his legacy by “aiming to cure epilepsy through funding research, education and awareness campaigns while still supporting causes that were important to him.”

In 2021, Carson spoke exclusively to uInterview about her role as a Unicef ambassador. “My job as ambassador is to lift up the voices of children that Unicef relentlessly serves and the lives they have changed over 75 years and to advocate for real and tangible change,” Carson said, “and it truly is the most important thing that I will do especially now in this moment where we are facing a crisis in the world.”
