Dennis Quaid Flips Out On Set In Viral Video, But Is It A Hoax?

Dennis Quaid appears to have been caught on camera yelling in anger at the crew of his newest project in a profanity-filled viral video.

Dennis Quaid Loses It In Viral Video

The video, accurately titled “Dennis Quaid Freak Out,” was uploaded to YouTube on April 10, and recently went viral after being shared on Reddit. In the video, Quaid, 61, launches into a massive tirade aimed at anyone else in his path.

“What the f—k, keep going! I am acting here, and this dickhead wanders onto my set. I can’t even get a line out until Dopey the Dick starts whispering in your ear and you’re not even watching anymore,” Quaid yells.

An off camera voice can be heard trying to calm Quaid down, but the actor refuses to listen. “I am doing my job here,” Quaid says. “I’m a pro, this is the most unprofessional set I have ever been on.”

“I’ve got these f—king zombies over here, I have a bunch of p—sies staring at me, and this f—king baby!” Quaid screams in the video. “Blow me,” he ads before walking off.

Is The Dennis Quaid Video A Hoax?

The short, 44-second clip has received mixed reactions from viewers. While some believe Quaid’s meltdown to be genuine, others suspect it’s all one big Internet hoax – like Jimmy Kimmel’s viral twerking video. If it is a parody, the video could very well be part of some late night bit, or it could be a parody of Christian Bale’s famous outburst on the set of Terminator: Salvation in 2008. Bale was caught demanding that the director of photography be thrown off the set after allegedly ruining a take in a recording that went viral.

Perhaps coincidentally, Sony’s Crackle, an online network, announced on Tuesday that it has ordered an original drama starring Quaid and Christian Cooke titled The Art of More. Quaid, who is also credited as executive producer on the series, plays “a Machiavellian master of money and power who’s one part charm and one part intimidation.” And some have theorized that the rant video was a cleverly timed viral sensation to bring buzz to the series.

Quaid has yet to comment on the video.
