Gwyneth Paltrow was given the Innovation Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday night.
Presented by Demi Moore, Paltrow was honored with the award for her wellness and lifestyle company, Goop.
“We’re obviously extremely honored,” she told reporters after being awarded. “As a brand that has been around for 15 years, the idea that we could win a CFDA award is just thrilling and sort of validating after having left acting behind and trying something new.”
Last year’s Innovation honoree was Kim Kardashian, for her company, Skims.
Other CFDA winners this year include Serena Williams as the Fashion Icon, Vera Wang with the Board of Director’s Tribute and twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen received the American Accessory Designer of the Year Award for their brand, The Row.
Paltrow recently said she “might just disappear” from public life after selling the company.
