Delicia Cordon, the ex-girlfriend of NFL player LeSean McCoy, is retracting her previous statements that accused him of being involved with a robbery and assault that left her beaten and hospitalized.

In a 911 recording, Cordon tells that the operator that McCoy tried to remove her from his house after they broke up last year, this led her to the conclusion that he had “something to do with the attack on Tuesday. She was assaulted and robbed inside the home, she said there were at least two masked men who broke in at 3 a.m.

“He took a diamond bracelet off my wrist,” she says in the 911 call. “He just kept asking for jewelry. I think it has something to do with my ex-boyfriend.”

Tanya Mitchell Graham, Cordon’s lawyer, said in a released statement that Cordon was struck by a firearm multiple times in the face by an intruder who “demanded specific items of jewelry.”

However, she is now unsure on her previous allegations. Graham told CBS News that the former girlfriend of the Buffalo Bills’ running back is unsure if he was actually involved. She is not backtracking her initial call, however, does not want to “directly [blame] McCoy without more evidence.”

When the news broke out, McCoy denied having any involvement in the assault. “For the record, the totally baseless and offensive claims made against me are completely false,” he tweeted. “Furthermore, I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months.”
