Def Leppard Announces Massive 2016 North American Tour [TICKET INFORMATION]

Def Leppard has announced additional tour dates after canceling a handful after lead singer Joe Elliot needed time to rest his voice. Along with those dates, the band is gearing up for a tour extending from May through October with openers, REO Speedwagon and Styx.

Even with guitarist Vivian Campbell battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma since June 2013, the band is confident all five members will be present.

“I’m still dealing with the cancer; it keeps coming back,” he told Headlines and Global News. “It’s been three years, I’ve done three rounds of chemo, stem cell transplant and I really thought that would be it with the stem cell transplant, but no, it came back, so I’m kind of resigned to the fact that I’ll probably deal with it the rest of my life. But I’m really not at all concerned with it; it’s just maintenance. I put it on par with going to the dentist. It’s a little bit more involved than that, but it’s just something that I got to keep doing.”

The guitarist considered himself to be extremely fortunate: “I’m one of the lucky ones. I was diagnosed early and have great health insurance and good doctors and I’ve always been one step ahead of it and I continue to be so and I intend to be so.”

Def Leppard’s latest release reached Number 10 on the Billboard 200 due to their tracks like “Let’s Go” and “Dangerous.”
