Deborra-Lee Furness attracted attention at the Australian Open as she appeared to be sending a message to her ex, Hugh Jackman.
The actress, 69, was spotted courtside with her daughter, Ava, on Jan. 14, hours after he was spotted kissing his new lover, Sutton Foster.
Furness, dressed in a purple silk shirt, could be seen smiling wide alongside her daughter, who wore a mini dress with black boots. Both mother and daughter were seen wearing “evil eye” rings, which the Australian press interpreted as a dig at her ex.
The actress was seemingly unbothered as she and her daughter enjoyed each other’s company and happily acknowledged paparazzi when they arrived.
Furness’ Australian Open outing came shortly after Jackman was spotted kissing Foster for the first time since their relationship was revealed.
Foster could be seen with her arms wrapped around Jackman’s neck as they waited in the drive-thru line to order food.
The two stars had previously shared the stage when they played the leads in a Broadway production of The Music Man.
In September 2023, Furness and Jackman announced that their 27-year marriage was coming to an end.
One year later, Foster filed for a divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024.
Recently, rumors have spread that an affair between the pair led to their marriages falling apart.
In November, an insider told US Weekly, “Sutton and Hugh’s relationship is why Hugh and Deb divorced.”
“A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people,” the source continued. “Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”
