Deadpool 2 is in the works with Ryan Reyolds set to star, and Tim Miller returning to direct. Fox said the entire creative team will return as well, including writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The first film has topped charts, grossing $757.3 million globally (after a budget of only $58 million). It is the highest grossing R-rated film worldwide. This is great news for Reynold’s career, as his recent films have been flops like RIPD and Green Lantern, as well as Miller’s career, as the first installment was his film directorial debut. Miller is also an animator and visual effects specialist.
The first film is still in theaters.
