Jake Harris, star of Deadliest Catch, received a brutal beating over the weekend and was hospitalized for his injuries.
Harris was reportedly attacked outside the Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Tulalip, Washington. Local police stated that Harris got into a car with multiple people, which is where the altercation occurred.
Harris was robbed, beaten, and allegedly thrown onto the side of the highway from the movie car. When police arrived after a witness called 911, Harris “was conscious, alert, and answering questions.” He refused medical attention at the time and was brought to his home, before his family took him to the hospital.
A spokesperson for the Providence Regional Medical Center told The Seattle Times that Harris was in “satisfactory condition.”
Harris’s brother, Josh Harris, told fans of the incident via Facebook the following day, saying Jake was jumped late Saturday night and was in the intensive care unit. “Some individuals beat him to the point where they cracked his skill,” Josh tells. On Monday morning he again took to Facebook to inform that Jake was doing better.
The case is still being investigated by police.
