David Duchovny and Tea Leoni have split for a second time in their 14-year marriage. A rep for Duchovny, 50, confirmed to E! News that the Californication star and his wife are "taking time apart."
There’s no word on whether the couple has or will file for divorce, but given their track record, this seems unlikely. The couple previously split in 2008 after Duchovny admitted he was a sex addict. In fact, they both claimed they had been living separately for several months before the announcement of the split. The former X-Files star voluntarily checked himself into rehab, and the couple reunited the following year. Duchovny insisted the brief separation was the "best thing" that could have happened for the relationship.
Duchovny and Leoni, 45, have been married since 1997 and have two children together, daughter Madelaine West, 12, and son Kyd Miller, 9.

I think it's truly amazing how much David Duchovny's real life is parallel to his character Hank Moody's. He's just so unsure about his happiness.
