The Dave Matthews Band are celebrating their 25th anniversary as a rock outfit in doing the thing they love the most: going on the road for a massive summer tour.
The tour will kick off on May 11 in Wichita, Kan., and will feature two different sets being played on each night of the tour. The heartbreaking announcement that came with the tour unveiling is that the band will be going on a hiatus in 2017 once the summer trek is over. Before their send-off, the band will host a Labor Day weekend playing at The Gorge in George, Wash., a venue they have performed at more than 50 times in their 25-year tenure. Other acts have not been announced yet for the send-off weekend but will be joining them at the Gorge sets. Pre-sale tickets for the members of the band’s Warehouse Fan Association will go on sale on Tuesday while general public tickets will go on sale on Feb. 19.
