Darryl Robinson, Known As Cooking Channel's DR Mixologist Found, Dead In NYC Home
Darryl Robinson, Cooking Channel’s resident mixologist, was found dead Wednesday, Feb. 5, in his NYC home. He was 50 years old.
Robinson’s cause of death is unknown and police are currently investigating after finding him dead in the bedroom of his Brooklyn home. When they didn’t hear from him, friends of Robinson called the police. Reports say that there was no evidence of violence or trauma in the home, and the medical examiner is working to determine cause of death.
News of Robinson’s death broke when his personal assistant, Monique Love posted a message on his Facebook announcing his passing. Love also promised fans to keep them informed regarding any plans for a memorial.
Robinson, also known as DR Mixologist, hosted a show on the Cooking Channel called Drink Up, which featured his cocktails and various guest chefs.
“At learning of the sad news, our thoughts go out to Darryl’s family & friends,” said a spokesperson for the Cooking Channel.
