12-year-old Darci Lynne Farmer is just one of a handful of performers on America’s Got Talent to get the golden buzzer.

In her ventriloquist act, Darci used a rabbit puppet named Petunia to perform a stunning rendition of Ella Fitzgerald’s “Summertime.” The power of her voice alone was incredible, but what’s even more amazing was that her lips never moved.

“I want to keep ventriloquism alive because it’s not common, you know?” Farmer said before the number. Afterwards she revealed that she’s only been doing the act for two years, after her mom gave her a rabbit puppet for her 10th birthday to help her overcome shyness.

“You know what’s really sweet? Your puppet, I’m guessing, is exactly like you: very charming and adorable,” judge Mel B. said. “You make my heart melt. You were brilliant. I’m trying to describe how amazing it was.”

The little girl and her mom cried after the performance, which left the audience astounded. Darci got the golden buzzer, sending her directly to the live-show portion of the season.
