Kate Hudson has been dating Danny Fujikawa for a few months now. Here are some facts to know about the new beau.

WHO IS DANNY FUJIKAWA?

Fujikawa founded Lightwave Records in 2013 with Chris Acosta, the lead singer of The Delta Mirror. They started it “as a way to release their music on their own terms.” Since its inception, Lightwave has released The Delta Mirror’s second album, Better Unsung, as well as Fujikawa’s first solo record, Cellophane Castles. They also released The Shimmies’ Beloved Enemies and work from Ave Grave.

Fujikawa previously sang backup vocals and played guitar for the band Chieg, which he formed with his brother Michael Fujikawa. They created the band in 2008 and released “The Castle is Gone” the same year. Their most well-known songs are “Mighty Proud,” “Breaking Walls,” and “Night and Day.” Their first album, Modern Rituals, dropped in 2010, and the band broke up in 2011. A recent Instagram post, however, hints that the band may be getting back together.

Fujikawa attended New York University, which is where he met other members of Chief and started collaborating on music.

Fujikawa himself has a single film credit. It was for the 2017 movie Scumbag, in which he is listed as the other end of a phone call.

Fujikawa and Hudson, 37, have been spotted all over Los Angeles together, and are not shy about packing on the PDA. They were even caught kissing outside of a juice bar on March 19.
