Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are going to be grandparents. This Hollywood power couple’s daughter Lucy DeVito, 40, is pregnant with her first child.
Lucy is the oldest child of three from DeVito and Perlman. They also have two other children Grace and Jacob.
Lucy showed up alongside her mom in a stunning red dress at the SAG Awards showing off her little baby bump.
“Everybody said it’ll change your life when you have a grandchild, and it does,” Perlman said on the Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfous podcast.
“There’s a certain love, I mean I felt it when my own children were born, the kind of love I never felt before for anything … But this was a profound kind of feeling, and here it is again. They can do no wrong. Looking at a new human being is so amazing, that people create other people. It’s mind-boggling,” Perlman added.
DeVito and Perlman were together for over 30 years before splitting in 2012, then reconciling only to break up again in 2017. They are on good terms and still see each other often.
“We can do things together, we can do things separately,” Perlman told People in 2022. “I’m really, really glad that Danny and I were able to navigate some rough days to be able to have this different kind of relationship. I think it’s pretty rare, but we agree on so many things that it makes sense.”
In 2023, DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger reunited at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
