Daniele Watts And Boyfriend, Brian Lucas, Charged With Lewd Conduct After Sept. Incident

Daniele Watts, the Django Unchained actress, and her boyfriend Brian Lucas have reportedly been charged with lewd conduct after allegedly being seen having sex in public.

Daniele Watts Charged With Lewd Conduct

Watts and Lucas were both charged with lewd conduct for allegedly having sex in the front seat of her car while parked outside CBS Studios. According to reports, witnesses working in an office nearby claim they saw Watts straddling her boyfriend with her breasts exposed on the afternoon of Sept. 11.

Watts, an African American actress, created a stir in September when she claimed that the police detained her unfairly because she was making out with her white boyfriend. “Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place,” Watts told her Facebook fans at the time.

Watts, 28, was handcuffed by the police after refusing to provide the police with her ID and trying to walk away from them, claiming that the only reason the police were called was because she and her boyfriend were an interracial couple engaging in PDA. Lucas later wrote on Instagram that he believed the police treated Watts as if she were a prostitute. Both were adamant that no charges had been filed and that they were not having sex in public, as was reported to the police.

Since Watts’ initial telling of the ordeal, police recordings of the incident have been released, as well as photos showing Watts and Lucas getting frisky in the front seat of their parked car. Watts has since claimed that the audio released was edited and “incomplete.”

The actress has not released a comment on the recent charges filed against her. If convicted, Watts could be sentenced to up to six months in jail and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
