Daniel Radcliffe, the erstwhile Harry Potter star, has reportedly proposed to his longtime girlfriend Erin Darke.

Radcliffe, 24, apparently proposed to Darke without an engagement ring, which the two are set to pick out together while vacationing in Paris. Since the proposal, the two have attempted to keep their engagement a secret.

"They're trying to keep it low-key, because he's very private, but they're both bursting with excitement,” an insider told Star magazine. It's the happiest we've seen him in years."

According to the insider, Radcliffe and Darke hope to marry sometime in 2015. It’s expected they’ll tie the knot where Darke’s family lives, near Lake Michigan.

Radcliffe and Darke have been dating for two years since they met on the set of Kill Your Darlings. In the indie film, Radcliffe starred as Beat poet Allen Ginsberg, while Darke had the role of Gwendolyn, a student who worked at the university library that gets intimate with a reluctant Ginsberg between the stacks.

Radcliffe, who is currently starring on Broadway in The Cripple of Innishman, has three films in production – Frankenstein, Brooklyn Bridge and Tokyo Vice. Darke has also been busy with a number of movies set to come out this year, including Love and Mercy with Elizabeth Backs, Paul Giamatti, John Cusack and Paul Dano and Still Alice with Julianne Moore and Kristen Stewart.
