Daniel Radcliffe Avoided Talking To Katy Perry After Admitting He Has A Huge Crush On Her

Daniel Radcliffe admitted during an interview at TIFF that his crush on Katy Perry is so powerful, he avoided talking to her when they were once in the same room.

During an interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Radcliffe said that since he fist told Horowitz about his “massive crush” on Katy Perry, he feels even more nervous when he finds himself in the presence of the pop star.

“Mentally I am very close to Katy Perry a lot. I’ve been in a room with her since [I said I had a crush on her] and I couldn’t say [anything]. I was across a room from her and I was like, ‘I can’t. I can’t even say anything. You’ve probably seen an interview with me [and] you know these thoughts are in my head. I can’t even look at you,’ ” Radcliffe joked about his not so secret celebrity crush.

Radcliffe also talked about the upcoming 50 Shades Of Grey film and his reaction to people’s desire for him to play Christian Grey.

“I think there was approximately no people wanting me to play Christian Grey, including myself. I have to say, no offense to anybody, I’m sure they’re going to do a great job on the movie, but it’s not something that I think of would have been a good next step for me,” Radcliffe said.

Radcliffe is in Toronto promoting his films The F Word, Horns and Kill Your Darlings.
