Daniel Craig has exited his new film The Whole Truth just days before filming was scheduled to commence in Boston.

Craig, 46, had signed on to star in The Whole Truth alongside Renee Zellwegger and Gabriel Basso. Production was set to begin April 14 in the Massachusetts city, but will now have to be postponed several weeks due to Craig’s abrupt decision, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

Craig’s decision is said to have been made official on Sunday, when he was seen at the city’s Four Seasons. Last month, Craig had been spotted preparing for the role at Suffolk Country Superior Court, according to the Boston Globe.

Producers will now have to scramble to find an actor to fill Craig’s role of a local district attorney.

The plot of The Whole Truth has been kept closely under wraps, though it’s understood that it’s to be a courtroom drama. Richard Suckle is producing the project, which is to be directed by Courtney Hunt from a script written by Nicholas Kazan.

Craig is still expected to appear in The Girl Who Played with Fire and the 24th and 25th installments in the James Bond franchise.
