Daniel Craig And Rachel Weisz Marry In Secret Ceremony

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig have managed to pull off an almost unheard of feat. The couple got married in a small, quiet ceremony in New York last week. The nuptials were attended by only four people: Craig's 18-year-old daughter Ella, Weisz's 4-year-old son, Henry, and two friends of the couple, according to The Daily Mail.

The actors’ reps did not offer any more details of the wedding, which was first reported by the British tabloid, News of the World. While some news outlets said the ceremony took place on Friday in upstate New York, News of the World reported that they wed on Wednesday at a friend's house. The pair have been romantically linked since last fall, when they began shooting for the thriller, Dream House, in which, coincidentally, they play husband and wife. The movie comes out in September.

Craig was previously married to actress Fiona Loudon, and was later in a relationship with producer Satsuki Mitchell from 2004 to 2010, while Weisz had her son with Oscar nominated Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, whom she was engaged to and dated for nine years. The couple broke up in November.

Craig, 43, is the latest James Bond and will star in the U.S. version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The next James Bond movie is slated for release next October, but before that, Craig will be seen in the summer release, Cowboys and Aliens, out July 29. Weisz, 41, won an Oscar for The Constant Gardener in 2005, and is famous for her role in The Mummy franchise. She will be seen next in the drama, The Whistleblower, opening in August.

  • That's nice that they had a secret ceremony. It's a refreshing change after hearing of so many celebrities and their lavish engagements and weddings.

  • If they REALLY wanted to have a secret ceremony, they wouldn't have announced it at all. But I guess this is better than getting married on TV...

  • I'm not a huge fan of Daniel Craig, but have always liked Rachel Weisz and have always admired her for being one of those actresses who manages to stay out of tabloids and over silly publicity stunts. But what I really got out of this, is why are they making a U.S. version of The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo? Was the Swedish version not enough?! This country is excessive.
