Earlier this week, former WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan, shocked professional wrestling fans everywhere by announcing his sudden retirement due to concerns from a concussion he received last April.
Despite being cleared by his own doctors, Bryan was not cleared by WWE concussion expert Dr. Joseph Maroon.
He first announced his news to the Twitterverse, explaining that he would speak more about it on Raw.
Bryan told his adamant and openly-weeping fans on Raw, “I don’t want to be doing this any more than you don’t want me to be doing this.” See the clip before where he thanks his fans and his wrestling career for letting him do what he loves and helping him meet his wife.
Daniel Bryan is retiring from an illustrious 17-year career in wrestling including his own personal “Yes!” movement.
