Dancing with the Stars returned for its second episode – and first elimination round – on Tuesday night. The 15 couples spun and sashayed around the ballroom in hopes of earning high enough scores and audience votes to secure a spot in the next round, which will feature the season’s first theme night: Disney.
The second episode of the season kicked off with some laughs as Tyra Banks, taught celebrity contestants how to pull off her iconic “smize” during the competition. Then the couples each took their turns trying to impress judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Ultimately, Carole Baskin and Charles Oakley were the celebrities who placed last. Carrie Ann chose to eliminate Oakley, Bruno chose Baskin, and Derek chose Oakley, meaning Charles Oakley was the first celebrity to leave the ballroom.
