‘Dancing With The Stars’ Contestant William Levy Arrested For Disorderly Intoxication & Trespassing
Former Dancing With The Stars contestant William Levy was arrested in Miami following charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing.
Levy, 44, was booked into the Broward County jail earlier this week after police responded to a call about a disturbance at a local bar and grill after 10 p.m. Levy was described as being highly intoxicated and “causing a disturbance” after police arrived.
Levy was at one point rumored to be dating Jennifer Lopez.
The restaurant manager asked Levy to leave multiple times, but he refused to comply. After police witnessed his refusal, he was arrested and now faces two misdemeanor charges: disorderly intoxication in a public place and trespassing on occupied property.
The actor spent the night at the detention center before being released on a $500 bond the next morning. Following his release, Levy was approached by a crowd of reporters outside the court to ask about the situation, he said that he was with a friend from a rec baseball team and enjoying a drink when they “started arguing with another guy.”
“I got in front of him to try to de-escalate the situation,” Levy claimed. “And I’m the one who ended up in handcuffs.”
When asked about his trespassing charges, Levy replied, “They had to take me in for something.” He also denied the rumor that he had a physical altercation with a restaurant employee.
The incident is not the first time Levy has gotten in trouble with the law. In April 2023, police responded to the South Florida home of Levy and his long-term partner, Elizabeth Gutierrez, four times within the last year. Police were reportedly called to domestic disturbances. However, police reports did not include allegations of violence, and neither of them filed charges against the other.
