Trump Says Gen. Mark Milley Should Be Executed After Revealing Ex-President Insulted Wounded Service Members

Donald Trump slammed the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley after Milley announced he would retire on October 1.

Trump, who appointed Milley to the position, took to Truth Social to rant about the general.

“Mark Milley, who led perhaps the most embarrassing moment in American history with his grossly incompetent implementation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, costing many lives, leaving behind hundreds of American citizens, and handing over BILLIONS of dollars of the finest military equipment ever made, will be leaving the military next week,” he wrote.

“This will be a time for all citizens of the USA to celebrate!” he continued. “This guy turned out to be a Woke train wreck who, if the Fake News reporting is correct, was actually dealing with China to give them a heads up on the thinking of the President of the United States.”

Milley was in contact with China during the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol in order to assure them that the United States was a stable country while it went through a transitional process from Trump to Joe Biden as president. Trump’s statement suggests that Milley was attempting to go behind his back, but this call was authorized by Trump’s defense secretary.

His statement took a turn when he suggested that Milley should be put to death for his actions.

“This is an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH! A war between China and the United States could have been the result of this treasonous act.”

His rant ended with him writing, “to be continued,” but has not added anything on the topic yet.

This post was in response to Milley sharing with the public information about Trump’s presidency, where he described how it could be difficult and dangerous at times.

Milley revealed in recent interviews that Trump ordered him to stop inviting wounded soldiers to public events.

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg responded to Trump’s statement by commenting, “just the latest in a pattern of outrageous attacks on the people who keep this country safe,” during CNN’s State of the Union.

He continued to speak about how Milley is a part of the “kind of people who deserve respect and a hell of a lot more than that from every American and definitely from every American president.” He took a final dig at Trump adding, “I guess wounded veterans make President Trump uncomfortable.”

In June 2020, Milley publicly stated how he regretted his actions in joining Trump for a photo opp in Washington, D.C.’s Lafayette Square after it was cleared of Black Lives Matter protesters. This announcement displeased Trump, creating more tension between the two men.

In the past, Trump has referred to Milley as a “dumbass” and an “idiot” sharing with the world his views on the general.
