Kelly Clarkson has finalized her divorce with Brandon Blackstock, a talent manager, nearly two years after they split.
Terms of the agreement, signed off on by L.A. Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon, include joint custody of the couple’s two kids. The singer will have primary custody of River Rose, 7, and Remington Alexander, 5, in Los Angeles while Blackstock will get the children at his home in Montana one weekend per month.
The American Idol winner will also pay Blackstock a one-time payment of a little over $1.3 million, and spousal support of $115,000 monthly through January 2024. In addition, she will send him $45,601 per month in child support. Clarkson will keep all $20 million of her yearly estimated salary.
The former couple finally came to an agreement on their multiple ranches in Montana, which had stalled divorce proceedings for months. Clarkson will get both properties, and her ex-husband will pay her $2,000 a month to stay at one of the ranches until June. The talent manager will also gain 5.12 percent ownership in one of the properties, which is worth $908,800 in ownership interest, according to legal documents.
Clarkson will keep the family pets, a flight simulator and a few of the family’s cars including a Ford Bronco and a Porshe Cayenne while Blackstock will walk away with the farm animals and multiple vehicles including two Ford trucks, an ATV and snowmobiles. He will also get a golf simulator and multiple Patek Philippe watches.
Clarkson filed for divorce in June 2020 and has been declared “legally single” since last August, even as divorce proceedings were prolonged, after arguing that both she and Blackstock “both deserve the opportunity to build a new life.”
