After going to rehab in December 2020 due to a relapse of an addiction he has struggled with for years, John Mulaney announced that he would be coming back to live comedy.
Us Weekly claims that the pandemic made it difficult for him to stay sober; being in lockdown and having “too much time in his own head” led him back to drugs and alcohol.
Mulaney has been focusing on his recovery and work. He and wife of six years, Annamarie Tendler, have announced that they are divorcing.
