‘Incredible Hulk’ Star Lou Ferrigno Sues His Daughter For Elder Abuse

Lou Ferrigno, star of the 1970s TV show The Incredible Hulk, accused his daughter of elder abuse by his wife and her mother, Carla Ferrigno.

Ferrigno, 71, has been married to Carla, 74, for 43 years.

Last month, it was confirmed that Carla has advanced dementia. In the announcement, Ferrigno’s spokesperson said, “She has severe memory impairment and psychosis and is no longer the same person who Lou knew for decades.”

Ferrigno claims that last month his daughter, Shanna Ferrigno, 42, and Carla’s sister, Pam Vog, drove Carla to the bank and tried to withdraw $500,000 in cash. When the bank withdrew the money, Ferrigno was alerted.

Lou claimed that Shanna, a fitness trainer, and Vog wanted to access Carla’s assets illegally and accused the two of financially exploiting his wife.

Ferrigno said that his daughter turned off the cameras in the rooms where Carla was and continually overruled Ferrigno with the caretakers.

He has chosen to take legal action against both of them.

“Lou hurried to the bank and was able to temporarily flag the account, but Court relief is necessary to maintain the status quo and to prevent Shanna and Pam from absconding with $500,000, which would irreparably harm Carla if Lou has to then chase them to try to recover the money,” the filing said.

Ferrigno noted that he took control of the family’s finances because he wanted to ensure that there would be enough money to fund Carla’s care.

The actor stated that as a result of Shanna and Pam’s persistence, Carla has become hostile towards the two.

Ferrigno has sought a restraining order that would allow only himself to access their bank accounts.

“Neither Shanna nor Pam have any legal authority to direct financial withdrawals on Carla’s behalf,” he said. “Thus, they must be restrained to prevent serious harm.”

Ferrigno was a rival bodybuilder of Arnold Schwarzenegger before he launched his career as an actor. The two’s rivalry was the subject of the 1977 documentary Pumping Iron. The couple also shares two sons, Louis Jr., 38, and Brent, 33.
