Britney Spears announced she is single following a public critique of her recent boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, on social media.

Spears, 42, took to Instagram on Sunday to question Soliz’s behavior during a paparazzi encounter after her conservatorship case was settled in April. She described an incident where Soliz allegedly drove at high speeds in a residential area while being followed by a photographer.

“Why was he going 90 [m.p.h.] in a neighborhood with one pap following only to roll the window down when the pap pulls to the side of me?” Spears wrote. She added that Soliz then called his mother.

The singer expressed distress over Soliz lowering the car window while she was crying in the passenger seat. Following these comments, Spears posted a cryptic quote about having a “savage” attitude but a heart of gold.

Spears then declared herself “single as f—” and, in a since-deleted post, vowing to never to be with another man.

The relationship between Spears and Soliz, 38, became public in September 2023, shortly after her divorce from Sam Asghari. Friends have expressed concern about the romance, citing Soliz’s legal troubles. He has reportedly faced multiple misdemeanor charges and at least one felony.

In May, the couple made headlines for an alleged altercation at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont. Spears later dismissed reports of the incident as “fake” and attributed her injury to a dance-related fall.

Soliz’s ex-wife, Nicole Mancilla, spoke out against him, accusing him of neglecting his children and infidelity. She claimed he has at least nine children.

Prior to her relationship with Soliz, Spears was married to Asghari for one year. The couple wed in June 2022 after meeting on the set of her music video “Slumber Party” six years earlier.

Asghari, 30, is set to appear in the upcoming season of Traitors but is reportedly unable to discuss his ex-wife due to a nondisclosure agreement.

This latest development in Spears’ personal life comes as she continues to navigate life after the end of her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021.
