After Failing To Win A Single Point At Olympics & Going Viral For ‘Terrible’ Performance, Breaker Raygun Gets Makeover On The Cover Of Fashion Magazine

Breakdancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn made an appearance on the cover of this week’s edition of the Australian lifestyle and fashion magazine Stellar.

In August, Gunn became famous on social media after she failed to score a single point during the 2024 Paris Olympics breakdancing competition. However, her fresh style and unexpected moves immediately went viral.

While in Paris, she faced losses in all three competitions, adding up to a combined score of 54-0. But in spite of her last-place finish, she remained cheerful about her performance.

Social media erupted with reactions to her routine. Some viewers did not believe she deserved to qualify for the Olympics, while others commended her unique style.

The debate extended beyond the Australian breakdancer’s performance to question the inclusion of breaking as an Olympic sport. Many fans called her performance “terrible,” among other descriptions.

During her first interview since her viral performance early last month, Gunn told Australia 10 News about the criticism she faced during and after the 2024 Summer Games.

She said that she was “really sad to hear those criticisms” and that she was “very sorry for the backlash that the community has experienced … But [she] can’t control how people react.”

On the cover of this week’s Stellar magazine, an image of which was posted on Instagram on Thursday, Gunn’s hair was slicked back into a braided ponytail as she stood before a yellow nylon backdrop with her hands on her hips.

She wore an electric blue dress paired with flared sleeves and a pair of strappy black heels.

The breakdancer also wore bronzed makeup and dark red lipstick.

The cover line states, “What Raygun did next?” and includes a quote from the interview in this week’s edition.

“You did not bring me down,” she stated. “You did not succeed. I will stand by what I did.”
