Alleged Cybertruck bomber Matthew Livelsberger reportedly “preyed” on his first wife, exhibiting a variety of unhealthy behaviors regarding their relationship.

On Wednesday morning in Las Vegas, Livelsberger exploded a Tesla Cybertruck outside of the entrance of the Trump International Hotel, killing himself and injuring seven people in the vicinity. Livelsberger was on vacation from his station in Germany when he rented the Cybertruck, acquired two firearms and drove from Denver to Las Vegas to stage the attack. Upon parking outside of the hotel, Livelsberger set off the cache of fireworks stored in the car and shot himself in the head.

On Thursday, Livelsberger’s second wife had broken up with him just six days before the bombing. Livelsberger left Colorado after they argued over infidelity, as Livelserger reportedly cheated, prompting investigators to wonder if the bombing was an emotional response rather than a political message.

A decorated army special forces Mast Sergeant with an eight-month-old daughter at home and an enthusiastic worker, family members who spoke to Livelsberger in the days nearing the attack report that nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Described by family and friends as a fierce patriot deeply committed to America, friends of Livelsberger have expressed their confusion about his actions.

However, others have come forward to voice their previous concerns about Livelsberger.

Livelsberger and his now ex-wife Sara’s neighbor, Stevie Wilssens, told The Colorado Springs Gazette that she regularly noticed Livelsberger exhibiting upsetting and inappropriate behavior toward his wife, contributing to a “bizarre and unhealthy” relationship between them.

Wilssens stated, “He preyed on her. She was trying to get healthy, and he would mock her. Nothing ever felt stable or steady between the two of them.”

Notably, Sara and Livensberger’s political views stood in stark contrast, with Sara supporting Bernie Sanders in the 2016 election and Livensberger being a strong Trump supporter.

The Tesla burst into flames just a few hours after a pick-up truck, rented from the same company as the vehicle that was driven into New Year’s Eve crowds in New Orleans, killing at least 15 people and leaving another 30 wounded.
