The iconic Cub Scouts program, intended for children aged five to ten, is about to undergo a change thanks to its new “Scout Me In” initiative, which will welcome girls into it.
Boy Scouts of America, or BSA, made the announcement on May 2. This paradigm shift is intended to show “what it’s like to be a Scout from a kid’s point of view,” according to the press release.

Its new slogan, “Scout Me In,” is meant to convey the program’s newfound inclusiveness, which will allow girls into the Cub Scouts beginning this summer. Furthermore, an Early Adapter Program has allowed over 3,000 girls in thus far, all of whom have been partaking in proud Scouting traditions.
“Cub Scouts is a lot of fun, and now it’s available to all kids,” said Stephen Medlicott, Boy Scouts of America’s National Marketing Group Director, said in a statement. “That’s why we love ‘Scout Me In’ — because it speaks to girls and boys and tells them, ‘This is for you. We want you to join!'”
