‘Criminal Minds’ Star Zach Gilford Recovering After Revealing Swollen Face From Undisclosed Illness

Zach Gilford is recovering after posting a series of selfies of his swollen face in a social media post last month.

The Criminal Minds: Evolution star shocked fans after uploading pictures to his Instagram story showcasing his puffy face. 

“Good thing we wrapped @criminalminds last week,” he joked in writing over the pic.

The three photos depict his face at various stages as his condition progressed and as he began to recover. In one of the photos, Gilford’s eyes are nearly swollen shut.

The 42-year-old did not specify what caused the swelling, but he made sure to thank those who helped reduce the inflammation. 

 “Thanks to all the nurses, doctors, and staff at @hungtingtonhospital for coaxing my face back to normalcy,” he wrote on that image, adding, “…still a little ways to go,” he wrote.

Gilford has starred in the Criminal Minds comeback since its return in 2022. The actor is also known for his work on Friday Night Lights and the Midnight Club.
