Courtney Love Wrote Note Found In Kurt Cobain's Wallet
Kurt Cobain’s death is still the subject of fascination and speculation two decades after he was found dead in an apparent suicide attempt. Feeding the curiosity of the masses, the Seattle Police Department recently released more crime scene evidence, which included a note that reignited the belief of conspiracy theorists that though Courtney Love could have had a hand in Cobain’s demise.
Courtney Love Wrote Death-Scene Note
“Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife even when she’s a b—h with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring,” read the note. Notably, the lines, written on stationary from the Phoenix Hotel, presented a much different tone than the suicide note Cobain had left in which he spoke lovingly of his wife.
However, it wasn’t even Cobain who scrawled the note; it was Love. She revealed that it had been her who wrote the note to the Seattle Times, and that it had been penned in 1991. The couple apparently made a dark game out of such notes that sarcastically addressed sex and drugs, and the perception of them held by the public.
Adding to Love’s story is the last line that was cropped out of the photo of the note that had circulated around the Internet. "Will you promise to f— her at least once a week, O.K.,” reads the last line, reported Spin magazine.
In addition to Love, Kurt Cobain biographer Charles R. Cross has also confirmed that it was her and not the late Nirvana frontman whose handwriting appears on the controversial note.
