At the beginning of April, country musician Morgan Wallen was arrested in Nashville, Tennesee, for launching a chair from the six-story roof of Chief’s Bar. At 11 p.m. on a Sunday, two Nashville police officers saw the chair fall to the ground from the top of the building. Wallen was arrested for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
Following his arrest, Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, said Wallen was “cooperating fully with authorities.”
Wallen has now spoken out about his actions that night. On Friday, the country artist posted to X, “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.”
“I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change.”
Wallen was arrested days after he kicked off the most recent leg of his One Night At A Time world tour.
Wallen has faced controversy in the past for his use of racial slurs. In 2021, an intoxicated Wallen was captured on video shouting the N-word at his home with a group of friends.
