Country Singer Jimmie Allen Apologizes To Pregnant Wife For ‘Humiliating’ Her After Manager’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Jimmie Allen made a public apology dedicated to his estranged wife after his former manager sued him for sexual assault and abuse.

On Thursday, the country singer posted a statement on Instagram to his wife Alexis, who filed for divorce weeks before news of the lawsuit was released.

Allen wrote, “I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair. I’m embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That’s something that she did not deserve at all.”

He also expressed regret to his children for “being a poor example of a man and a father.”

This was Allen’s first official response to the assault allegations. Earlier this week, he wrote, “We gonna be alright. This too shall pass,” on his Instagram Story.

At the time, he denied all accusations from his manager and claimed their relationship was consensual.

Allen’s former manager, 25, filed the lawsuit anonymously and said that he raped her and sexually harassed her multiple times. She maintained that his management team knew about his behavior yet did nothing to stop it.

In a statement, Allen admitted that he had a sexual relationship with his manager for “nearly two years,” but he claimed that she never blamed him for any wrongdoing and wanted their relationship to continue.

Alexis is currently pregnant with the couple’s third child together. The pair were married for three years before filing for divorce on April 28.
