Country musician Colt Ford is in “stable but critical condition” after a post-concert heart attack left him hospitalized.
Ford, 54, performed in Arizona on Thursday night at Dierks Bentley‘s Whiskey Row. Following the show, Ford suffered a heart attack. Ford is being cared for in the intensive care unit in Mesa, Arizona, located near Phoenix.
Ford is known for his mix of country and rap in his music. The musician was formerly a professional golfer and went on the Nationwide Tour. Ford released his debut album in 2008. Ford co-wrote and recorded a version of “Dirt Road Anthem,” also sung by Jason Aldean and released on Aldean’s album My Kinda Country.
Ford has since collaborated with other country music artists such as Keith Urban and Lady A.
In May 2023, Ford revealed he had an autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis. The disease, which affects the facial, eyes and throat muscles, has no known cure. The musician also said doctors put him on supplements to help relieve his fatigue during shows.

I pray he recovers from the heart attack. I have never personally been a fan, RAP is NOT country. RIP country music.
