Cormac Roth, son of Reservoir Dogs star Tim Roth, has died at 25 after a year-long battle with cancer. The Roth family released a statement on Monday announcing the musician’s death.

“He died peacefully in the arms of his family who loved and adored him,” the statement said. “He fought with incredible bravery for the past year and maintained his wicked wit and humor to the very end.”

In November 2021, Roth was diagnosed with a rare form of germ cell cancer, which is found in reproductive cells in the ovaries or testes. Roth shared the news with fans on Instagram, writing that he’d endured “chemo, high dose chemo, medication, transplants, transfusions, surgeries, etc.” after receiving the stage 3 diagnosis.

Roth was a composer, guitar player and producer. He released an album entitled “Python” in 2018 and assisted with the score for Michael Franco’s 2020 film New Order.

Following his diagnosis, he shared that it hadn’t taken away his “will to survive” or his “love of making music.”

The musician last posted on Instagram in August. Roth spoke directly to his viewers in a heartfelt video.

“Just sink your teeth in and remember that life is short and you don’t always get to choose your destiny,” he said in the video. “But just be an undeniable force that lives and breathes that thing that you claim you love and you are.”
