Conservative Pundit Candace Owens Promotes Antisemitic Conspiracy Theories In Livestream
In a recent X livestream, former Daily Wire host Candace Owens made inflammatory statements about the origins of Israel and alleged criminal activities tied to a group she referred to as a “cult” of pedophiles. Owens claimed that this group, which she linked to the early Jewish sect of the Frankists, founded Israel and was involved in heinous crimes against European Christians during Passover.
Owens asserted that the Frankists, followers of Jacob Frank, were not true Jews but impostors who engaged in various criminal acts, including ritual murders and pedophilia. She further claimed that Leo Frank, a Jewish factory superintendent wrongfully convicted of the 1913 rape and murder of 13-year-old Mary Phagan, was both a Frankist and related to Jacob Frank. According to Owens, Phagan’s murder was part of a ritualistic event timed with Passover, and she accused Frankists of targeting Christians during this Jewish holiday.
Historical records suggest that Leo Frank was likely innocent, with a posthumous pardon issued by the state of Georgia in 1986 acknowledging the failure to protect him from his murderers. Despite this, the case has been co-opted by Neo-Nazis to fuel antisemitic rhetoric.
Owens also alleged that Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, was a Frankist and that the state of Israel was established by Frankists. She went further to claim that President John F. Kennedy’s assassination was orchestrated by Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency.
In her livestream, Owens warned that if anything were to happen to her, it should be attributed to “Zionists,” emphasizing, “Anything happens to me, blame the Zionists. Like one thousand percent blame the Zionists.”
Her statements have been widely condemned for promoting conspiracy theories and antisemitic views.
In March, Owens was let go from the Daily Wire for her views on Israel.
