Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel publicly announced Abby’s marriage with a new video on social media on Thursday. Abby married husband Josh Bowling, a U.S. Army veteran, in 2021. The twins, 34, kept the news private until the marriage was confirmed through official records obtained in March.
The video shows Abby and Brittany, arms around Josh’s shoulders, swaying to a remix of Adele‘s “Rolling in the Deep” on the dimly lit dance floor at the Jerome Event Center in Delano, Minnesota. The twins also seemed to clap back at critics in a separate video posted on the same day.
The sisters captioned a video montage of them getting ready for the wedding with, “We know you think you know us,” with two heart emojis and “#sisterhoodgoals.” The video featured the song “Collide” by Justine Skye, using the lyrics, “I know you think that you know me/But you ain’t even see my dark side/This is for you only/So baby do me right, do me right.”
In March, after Abby’s marriage went public, the twins also responded to negative comments on TikTok: “This is a message to all the haters out there. If you don’t like what I do but watch everything I’m doing, you’re still a fan.”
Abby and Brittany are dicephalic conjoined twins. The sisters share the same bloodstream and organs below the waist, with one sister controlling the left side and the other controlling the right. The two rose to fame in 1996 after being featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show and later starring in their self-titled reality show Abby & Brittany on TLC. The twins now work as elementary school teachers in Minnesota.
