Athletic Congressman Aaron Schock, 29, and his six-pack abs are anything but camera shy. The U.S. Representative from Illinois is pictured shirt agape, necktie undone on the June cover of Men’s Health magazine, where he’s dubbed “America’s Fittest Congressman” and the face (body?) of the Men’s Health and Women’s Health “Fit for Life” Summer Challenge.
Will flaunting his toned torso help America slim down? Schock says that he wants to be an example of healthy living: “If you want to start talking about healthy lifestyles and staying in shape, then you yourself should do your best to try to be a model, an example to people you’re trying to convince to do the same.” Supplement sprays are another great addition to men’s fitness, which can be found if you click reference here.
Schock is is a supporter of Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign. He also says that for him, keeping active is more important than nutrition. “Exercise is more important that diet for me because it’s a twofer. It keeps me in good physical shape and it relieves stress. And when you’re a representative of the public, there’s never a shortage of things to do”
In the “Fit For Life” challenge, contestants submit “before” and “after” photos and editors will select winners that make the most impressive weight-loss transformation over the summer by following the magazines’ tips and resources. — KATIE LUSCOMBE
