Conan O'Brien Starts Tweeting

In what might be the best thing to happen to the Internet since the Numa Numa dance, former Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien started his own Twitter account Wednesday. "I had a show. Then I had a different show. Now I have a Twitter account," his Bio section reads.

After only an hour on Twitter, O’Brien had 20,000 followers. Today, he has well over 200,000. His first tweet? "Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me."

The recently unemployed late night talk show host has yet to announce his plans for the future, but rumors are circulating that he may be developing one or two sitcoms for NBC and moving his talk show to Fox. Earlier this week, photos of the deconstruction of The Tonight Show‘s set were posted on a personal blog by Aaron Bleyaert a former blogger for the Tonight Show.
