Scandal star Columbus Short has been charged with two misdemeanors after his arrest for domestic violence on February 2.

On Wednesday, the 39-year-old actor was charged with domestic violence and another for child endangerment due to the incident allegedly occurring in front of a child. L.A. City Attorney Michael N. Feuer issued these charges against Short this week.

The night of the arrest, the Scandal star claimed that his wife, Aida Abramyan, punched him in the face, however, no markings were seen on him. A minor injury was spotted on Abramyan’s face which resulted in Short’s arrest.

With his bail set at $50,000, Short was released on bond Thursday at 1:45 p.m. and is slated to make an appearance at Los Angeles Superior Court on June 6.

This is not the first Short has been accused of domestic violence. In 2018, he was arrested for a scene involving his then-wife and was in jail for 34 days after pleading “no contest” in court.

Karrine Steffans, Short’s former wife, filed a temporary restraining order against Short after he allegedly kicked down their bedroom door in a drunken rage and threatened her 18-year-old son on different occasions in 2016. He was also accused of cheating on her the week before.

In April 2014, Short’s ex-wife, Tuere Tanee Short, also was granted a restraining order against her ex-husband and filed for divorce after he reportedly threatened to kill her while he was intoxicated.
