Coachella Announces 2013 Lineup

The lineup for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has been announced, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, The Stone Roses and Blur headlining the event. The festival will be held over two weekends, April 12-14 and April 19-21, at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, Calif.

Coachella has become a massive success since it was founded in 1999, and annually features both established talent as well as plenty of artists on the rise. Last year’s festival earned more than $47 million and made waves when it produced a hologram of Tupac Shakur performing alongside Snoop Lion and Dr. Dre.

This year's festival features a deep and talented lineup including Wu Tang Clan, Passion Pit, Jurassic 5, Lou Reed, Metric, Tegan and Sara, The Postal Service and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. See the full lineup here.

Many tickets were sold last year for the event, however the leftover tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 29, at 10:00 a.m. PT. Festival passes start at $349, increasing in value for those who want camping ground passes, shuttle passes, or multi-weekend passes. If you're feeling like a high-roller, two-person Safari Tent passes are being sold for $6,500 dollars. These tents are air-conditioned, fully-furnished, have bathrooms showers, and also come with VIP access.
