Viewers of the morning edition of CNN Newsroom were in for a scary time when CNN anchor Poppy Harlow briefly fainted while reporting live.
Harlow was reporting on a poll that was taken by American citizens based on their opinions on the war on terror. While a CNN graphic showed the poll percentages, Harlow began to slur her words before going silent for a couple of seconds. Immediately, CNN cut to commercial and came back with reporter Brian Steltet closing out his regular Sunday media show, Reliable Sources.
Harlow eventually came back to a live feed stating that she was fine and that the show would continue. “For all of you on Twitter who are asking if I’m okay, thank you so much,” Harlow said when she returned. “I got a little hot, and I passed out for a moment. I am fine.”
The anchor eventually went to the hospital later on to make sure her unborn child was safe during the fainting and tweeted out that both of them were fine. She is due to give birth to her newborn this spring.
