CMT Winners & Highlights: Willie Nelson Performs, Luke Bryan Throws Underwear

Carrie Underwood, 29, wowed fans at the CMT Music Awards at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, hosted by Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Toby Keith on Wednesday night, nabbing the grand prize of Video of the Year for her single, "Good Girl." It was her third win for the coveted prize.

Other big winners of the evening included Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert, who walked away with the Best Male and Female Video of the Year awards for their respective titles, "I Don't Want this Night to End " and "Over You." Lady Antebellum's "We Owned the Night" nabbed Group Video of the Year, and American Idol alumnus Scotty McCreery got the Breakthrough Video award for his "The Trouble with Girls."

In other highlights, Willie Nelson had the audience on its feet when he performed "Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die" with an ensemble of all-stars that included Darius Rucker, Toby Keith, Zac Brown, and Jamey Johnson. Hank Williams Jr. and Brad Paisley got together for a mashup of "I'm Gonna Get Drunk and Play Hank Williams," and Rascal Flatts teamed up with Journey for "Don't Stop Believin'."

The real scene-stealer of the evening, however, was Bryan, who added some spice to his acceptance speech for "I Don't Want this Night to End" when he revealed a pair of his own camouflage boxers and asked presenter Tom Arnold to throw them into the crowd for him. The whole thing was a little stunt Bryan dreamed up from his first CMT win two years ago, when he threw a jacket into the crowd. In Bryan's speech, he explained, "I threw my jacket off the stage and it was really expensive. I think it cost something like $4,000, and a lot of people were like, 'Why did you do that?'" So the underwear was a "cheaper" option.
