The Country Music Association’s list of nominations for the 2020 CMA Awards were revealed Tuesday on Good Morning America, and Miranda Lambert is in the lead.
After the success of her 2019 album Wildcard and lead single “Bluebird,” the singer has earned seven total nominations – including Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year – making her the most nominated woman in the award show’s history.
Following closely behind Lambert is songwriting powerhouse Luke Combs, who earned six nominations, including the night’s most coveted, Entertainer of the Year.
Carrie Underwood, Eric Church and Keith Urban also earned top nods, while Garth Brooks, a seven-time winner of Entertainer of the Year, surprisingly withdrew himself from the nomination in July to make room for other artists.
Other notable nominations are Dan + Shay, who earned four nominations after their “10,000 Hours” collaboration with megastar Justin Bieber, and Maren Morris, who earned four individual nominations as well as one for her feature on Miranda Lambert’s “Fooled Around And Fell In Love.”
The 54th Annual CMA Awards will air on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
