‘Cloverfield Paradox’ Comes To Netflix After Trailer Premieres During Super Bowl [VIDEO]
Netflix has released Cloverfield Paradox after showing the trailer during Super Bowl LII on Sunday.
Cloverfield and10 Cloverfield Lane followed a group of international astronauts who are working to solve an energy crisis while orbiting Earth. The cast includes Daniel Bruhl, Roger Daivies, Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Gugu Mbatha–Raw, Chris O’ Dowd, John Ortiz, David Oyelowo and Zhang Ziyi.
Director Ava DuVernay went to Twitter to celebrate the fact that they were getting a sequel. “Woman of color- led, sci-fi thriller released worldwide day + date w/ big muscle Netflix for black director, his super producer +POC cast. No advance press, ads, trailer. Straight to the people. Congrats to helmer #Julius Onah + my dears, JJ, David.”
There isn’t just peace, love and brotherhood on the space station, there’s also conflict. With the threat of a possible war between Germany and Russia, crew members Schmidt (Bruhl) and Volkov (Hennie) have some tension brewing between them.The American commander Kiel (Oyelowo) isn’t having an easy time either dealing with the pressure of failed experiments.
Cloverfield Paradox is streaming now on Netflix.
